Traditional Weddings:
- Exclusive use of Crossley House to host your drinks and canapés reception, wedding breakfast and evening buffet. We are licenced to host events until 10pm so please bare this in mind when considering Crossley House for hosting your wedding.

French Renaissance Ballroom
- Originally designed to host grand events, this ballroom has a suspended honeycomb ceiling with a glass roof which floods the room with natural light
- The richness of this room is reflected by the original oak panelling, grand ornate mirrors, crystal chandeliers and hand-crafted plasterwork
- The ivory onyx floor is beautifully offset against the dark panelled walls giving this room a unique dimension and offers a blank canvas for your wedding décor
- Perfect for grand formal dining and celebrating your wedding in style
- Seating capacity – 300 guests
Crystal Ballroom
- Beautiful crystal chandeliers and grand ornate mirrors reflect the true beauty of this room
- It offers a glamorous setting for a formal dinner party or a more relaxed event
- French doors opening onto the patio area with beautiful views of the garden is perfect for entertaining your guests
- The perfect place for the drinks reception and mingling of guests before they move into French Renaissance Ballroom for the sit-down dinner
- Seating capacity – 120 guests
The Orangery
- Designed by Sir Joseph Paxton who then used the inspiration from here to design the famous Crystal Palave
- Features the original water fountain and surrounding flower beds
- This is an original listed part of the house and boosts an airy vintage atmosphere for guests to enjoy before making their way into the ballrooms
Private Garden Terraces
- Overlooking the lavish gardens of Belle Vie Park
- Guests can enjoy canapés and drinks reception before heading into the main ballrooms
Sir Francis Crossley Room
- This principle room is available with many original features lovingly preserved offering the bride and groom an oasis to escape during their big day to get a few moments to themselves
- This is a great backdrop for portraits of the bride and groom

We have seen beautifully planned and executed event decor and styling transform our ballrooms so that they look completely different for every single wedding we host. We hand pick suppliers to ensure the services they offer you will be of the quality and style you dream of. During the planning stages of your wedding, we will help you select the event stylist which will meet your requirement.
A Retreat Away
Sometimes getting a moment to yourselves during your wedding is just what is needed. We offer you the use of one of our principle rooms to sit back relax and take a breathe – away from your guests. Somewhere peaceful just so you can take it all in and share some special moments just the two of you – alone.
Gardens & Main House
In Autumn/ Winter, as the leaves start to fall from the trees and the days get shorter Crossley House continues to offer a stunning setting for a wedding. As the trees in the gardens start to become bare, the outside lighting illuminates the gardens and the mansion showing off intricate stonework furthermore if it snows, the white blanket over the grounds are awe-inspiring.

Having hosted weddings over the past ten years means our team has acquired skills to deliver seamless weddings like no other. We only host weddings and weddings is what we deliver!
Our focus is to make your special day extra special. Nothing is too much for us – leading up to and during your wedding – you just have to ask our team and we will be more than happy to help. From bridal gowns that need a little stitch, to hair pins that fell out on drive over, to aftershaves that have been forgotten behind – we have seen and experienced it all therefore we always have everything you could possibly need onsite.
Accommodation
We do not offer any overnight accommodation. However, Crossley House is situated in the heart of Halifax, giving you great links to the M62 and close by cities such as Huddersfield, Manchester, Leeds and Bradford. You therefore have flexibility on where you would like to stay whilst still being close by to the venue. Halifax also boosts a selection of fantastic boutique hotels.
Parking
Crossley House has free onsite car parking for up to 55 cars which is manned at all times. There is also ample off street parking with no permit holder only restrictions. The venue is wheel chair friendly so if you need this please ask one of our team members when you arrive.
Licensed Hours
We are licensed to host events until 10pm therefore Taxis and Carriages have to start leaving by 21:50pm. As we only host one event per day, your event can start any time from 10am onwards.
